Timothy Simon Roth (né le 14 mai 1961) est un acteur et réalisateur anglais. Il faisait partie des acteurs britanniques de premier plan connus sous le nom de « Brit Pack ». Pour sa performance dans Rob Roy (1995), Roth a remporté un BAFTA Award et a été nominé pour l'Oscar et le Golden Globe Award. Après s'être fait remarquer dans les productions télévisées Made in Britain (1982) et Meantime (1983), Roth a été nominé pour le BAFTA Award du meilleur espoir masculin pour son premier rôle au cinéma dans The Hit (1984). Il s'est fait connaître davantage grâce à ses rôles dans des films tels que Le Cuisinier, le voleur, sa femme et son amant (1989), Vincent & Théo et Rosencrantz et Guildenstern sont morts (tous deux en 1990). Roth a collaboré avec Quentin Tarantino sur plusieurs films, notamment Reservoir Dogs (1992), Pulp Fiction (1994), Four Rooms (1995) et Les Huit Salopards (2015). Il a également joué dans La Légende du pianiste sur l'océan (1998), La Planète des singes (2001), Funny Games (2007), Selma (2014), Luce (2019) et Bergman Island (2021). Roth a fait ses débuts en tant que réalisateur avec The War Zone (1999). Il a incarné Cal Lightman dans la série Lie to Me (2009-2011) diffusée sur Fox, Jim Worth / Jack Devlin dans la série Tin Star (2017-2020) diffusée sur Sky Atlantic, et Emil Blonsky / Abomination dans l'univers cinématographique Marvel, notamment dans les films L'Incroyable Hulk (2008), Shang-Chi et la légende des dix anneaux (2021) et la série Disney+ She-Hulk : Avocate (2022).
