David Krumholtz est un acteur américain né le 15 mai 1978 à New York (New York, États-Unis David Krumholtz débute sa carrière en 1993 par un second rôle aux côtés de Michael J. Fox dans la comédie Life with Mikey, puis dans Les Valeurs de la famille Addams. L'année suivante, le père noël Tim Allen le recrute comme elfe dans Super Noël, costume qu'il retrouvera en 2002 dans sa suite, Hyper Noël. Après un rôle sous la direction d'Ang Lee dans The Ice storm (1997), il trouve 10 Bonnes Raisons de te larguer en 2000, puis côtoie Brad Pitt et Julia Roberts dans Le Mexicain un an plus tard. En 2004, il participe à Ray, où Jamie Foxx incarne le chanteur mythique, avant de changer de monde dans Serenity : l'ultime rébellion (2005), long métrage adapté de la série Firefly. Sur le petit écran, David Krumholtz apparaît dès 1993 dans New York District, puis tient un rôle régulier dans Nés à Chicago (1997), série annulée après 13 épisodes. En 1998, il joue avec Tom Selleck dans la mini série The Closer. Après un rôle récurrent dans Urgences (2000), il devient un mathématicien de génie dans Numb3rs (2005) où il aide le FBI à résoudre des affaires criminelles complexes grâce à des équations.
