Peter Stormare (né le 27 août 1953) est né à Arbrå, dans le comté de Gävleborg, en Suède. C'est un acteur suédois de cinéma, de théâtre, de doublage et de télévision, ainsi qu'un metteur en scène, dramaturge et musicien. Il est connu pour ses rôles de John Abruzzi dans Prison Break et de Gaear Grimsrud, l'un des deux ravisseurs dans Fargo. Peter Stormare a débuté sa carrière d'acteur au Théâtre national royal de Suède, où il s'est produit pendant onze ans. En 1990, il est devenu directeur artistique adjoint du Tokyo Globe Theatre et a mis en scène de nombreuses pièces de Shakespeare, dont « Hamlet ». En 1993, il s'installe à New York, où il se produit dans des productions en anglais. Il continue de travailler à la fois aux États-Unis et dans son pays natal, la Suède. Il réside à Los Angeles, en Californie (États-Unis), avec sa femme.
